The curriculum has an important role in education. The elements that are considered in curriculum changes are students, education, society and curriculum developers is teachers. At this time Indonesia has undergone several curriculum changes caused by several factors. In 2022, Indonesia is implementing the Merdeka curriculum. Merdeka Curriculum is an intracurricular (face-to-face) curriculum where students and teachers can access subject matter that is already available on the Ministry of Education and Culture website. In this curriculum, students who have a quick understanding can access the material quickly without waiting for directions from the teacher because the material has been provided on the "Merdeka Belajar" website. In this curriculum, using students' centered learning as a method which places students as learning subjects. From this method, students become more active in carrying out learning activities.
An example of student habituation that has been applied after the Dhuhur prayer is Public Speaking. The theme for public speaking is independent. This activity plays an important role in fostering students' self-confidence to speak in public and remind each other in kindness. Not only training students' self-confidence but also developing students' critical thinking skills in delivering material in Public Speaking. Basically, critical empowering is one aspect of GCED Pedagogy.
In the Merdeka curriculum there are projects. This project to strengthen the achievement of the Pancasila student profile was developed based on certain themes determined by the government. The project is not directed to achieve certain learning achievement targets, so it is not tied to subject content. Each school has a different project. The project being carried out at Elementary School Juara Semarang is a project to plant vegetable seeds and also cultivate catfish. This project was carried out to instill entrepreneurship in students as the implementation of a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. This project also has life-long-learning to face global challenges.
In Elementary School Juara Semarang is not only taught intellectual ability but also social action. One of them is the activity of sharing corned beef with the surrounding environment after Eid al-Adha. This activity is useful for fostering a sense of care for children towards about the surrounding their environment and a sense of mutual assistence between humans.
From daily activities, Elementary School Juara Semarang not only prioritizes students' intellectual abilities, but also social skills that will be able to face globalchallenges
