Learning to Know "How has the plant grown?"

 

2nd class grade of Elementary school Juara Semarang did observe how the vegetables has grown with hydroponically proccess at Plamogansari. Hydroponics is a method of cultivating plants by utilizing water without using ground as media by emphasizing on meeting the nutritional needs of plants.  The water requirement for hydroponics is less than the water requirement for cultivation with soil.

Students also observe the types of plants that can be grown by using hydroponic media. The plants that can be grown in hydroponic media are vegetables, namely kale, mustard greens, and tomatoes.

From this activity, students can find out that growing plants does not only use ground as media but can also use hydroponic media.
